Brisbane’s annual riverside MS Moonlight Walk is back this spring on Friday 17 October 2014, kicking off at 6pm. Get active and celebrate our great city like you’ve never seen it before with a leisurely and safe 5km or 10km walk as the sun sets and the full moon rises.
Starting from the Cultural Forecourt at South Bank Parklands, wander the banks of the Brisbane River by the light of the full moon.
All the participants holding their MS lanterns are a spectacular sight to see as they stroll under the spectacularly illuminated Kangaroo Point Cliffs, and over the soaring Story Bridge.
Afterwards, you can make your way through Brisbane’s lush Botanic Gardens before crossing the Goodwill Bridge on your way to the finish line.
After the walk, stay and enjoy the celebrations at South Bank. There will be live entertainment, prize draws, current highest fundraisers will be announced, and there will be delicious food and drinks available.
It’s the perfect backdrop to enjoy time with family and friends.
To celebrate how far the event has come, we will be aiming to smash our fundraising goal and raise a sensational $550,000 for people living with MS.
This year, over 3,000 walkers will be putting on their walking shoes to take part in the walk to fight MS.
Spread the word and get your family, friends and colleagues on board to join thousands of proud Queenslanders as we step out to raise funds to fight multiple sclerosis.
